Abstract
The article discusses the educational views of A. Prugavin. Attention is drawn to the fact that the basis of educational and outreach activities A. Prugavin seen in the publication of books and paintings and distributing them among the people; the equipping of public libraries; reading rooms and book stores; the organization of popular lectures. A. Pruhavin Scientific research proves that there was a need to create appropriate institutions and organizations aimed primarily at adult education. Public school serving students through adults farmers. His educational activity relies exclusively on intellectuals. The book off A. Pruhavina " Request people and intellectuals responsibilities in education and vyhovannya" was one of the outstanding works on the distribution of educational ideas "educated intelligentsia" national reading and study.
