Abstract
In monography there’s an introduction of methodological legacy of domestic pedagogical science as the necessary basis for academic knowledge, which is fundamental to develop modern scientific-methodological conception and to create strategy for learning literature at school. The sense of the term “tendencies of methodology for learning Ukrainian literature” is established. Philosophical-culturological, literature studies and psychological-pedagogical conditions are described as they influence on the development of school literature study in different historical times. The periodization of methodology for learning Ukrainian literature at school is presented with the view of cultural-historical, social-political and pedagogical factors. Pedagogical ideas of native and foreign methodologists, progressive figures in culture and education are examined to consider key problems of school study of literature in different periods of its development in context and procedural aspects that points on tendency character of methodology for learning Ukrainian literature development. Development tendencies of methodology for learning Ukrainian literature in secondary schools in second half of XX – beginning of XXI century are considered in the context of qualitative changes in content and choice of methods, forms of literature education at school. For experts in the sphere of methodology for learning literature, students-philologists, postgraduates, doctoral students, teachers of Ukrainian language and literature.
