Abstract
Today the state policy in the field of special education content should be aimed not only at getting students with special needs knowledge, skills, and the formation of key competencies based on them, which will contribute to the ability through communication to find common ground with other people to improve their lives and be useful to the family, community, society. Modern higher education should focus on effective use of remaining systems and functions, able to take on a compensatory-corrective loads, the targeted development of mental processes, which determine the level of mastering of knowledge, abilities, skills and the appropriate education of the child and its integration into society. Modern requirements to education and personality development of children with profound visual impairment have led to the development of this program.
