Abstract

In the article the author examines national cultural environment as a source for development of education which determines its corresponding stage character on the whole and subject methods in particular. The variant of literature study methods periodization which consists of six stage segments in the history of methodical idea development is by the author is related to corresponding period of publicly-cultural development. The character of the Ukrainian educator ideal, which tests noticeable changes in every historical epoch, is taken into account in determination and description of periods of literature study methods development.
