Abstract
The authors analyze the results of empirical research on the levels of different leadership styles (collegial, liberal and directive) used by managers in non-school type educational institutions. It was shown that non-school type educational institutions had different types of organizational culture (power, role, task and person cultures), both in the real and ideal forms. The staff of non-school type educational institutions were found to orient to the "progressive" types of organizational cultures (person and task cultures). Leadership styles affected the levels of organizational culture of non-school type educational institutions. Thus, collegial management style had a positive effect on the formation of such a "progressive" culture as person culture and mitigated the impact of such "conservative" culture as power culture. At the same time, the directive and liberal leadership styles contributed to the development of such a "conservative" culture as power culture. The impact of leadership styles on the levels of organizational culture was most evident in the "real", rather than the "ideal" form of organizational culture.
