Abstract
The article substantiates theoretically two main directions of person’s learning motivation as a self-determined process - motivation of self-realization and psychological well-being. Factors and barriers of university students’ self-realization are determined. It was proved that the desire for self-realization and psychological well-being is the psychological mechanism of self-determination of learning motivation and it is predetermined by synergies of deficiency needs.
