Abstract

In the article it is considered an urgency in scientific terminology of the term "tutor" according to occurrence of a new profession in education system of Ukraine that is caused by a modern level of information society development. Existing examples of educational institutions which today prepare tutors are considered. Necessity of modeling of network interaction, the organization of educational "distance" conferences during preparation of tutors is conditioned. In the article functional responsibilities of the tutor are defined. Specificity of distance learning which forms the especial requirements to the tutor different from the requirements to the usual teacher is analysed.
