Abstract

The book for the first time in domestic pedagogy highlights the problems of modernization of teacher education in the European Union as a part of the formation of the European Higher Education at the beginning of. It is noted that the development of teacher training in the European Union caused by a specific internal political, economic and national traditions , and various external trends of globalization, internationalization, integration. Collective monograph introduces the pedagogical community of Ukraine establishing of a European dimension to quality teacher education and the introduction of competence-based approach to the preparation of educational personnel , establishment of common requirements for curriculum and professional development programs for teachers. The book is intended for teachers who are not indifferent to the problems of modern teacher education in the context of globalization and building a knowledge society.
