Abstract
The assessment of teachers’ information and communication сompetency, which includes an analysis of their ability to navigate the information space, to operate the data through the use of modern information and communication technologies in accordance with the requirements of the information society for the effective discharge of professional activity includes the following areas of study: readiness educational process participants use ICT; the individual ability to apply modern ICT for solving educational, professional and scientific problems; relevant knowledge, skills and abilities to use them for practice. The International Computer Driving Licence and The European Computer Driving Licence are prospective instruments for the implementation of assessment and decision on standardization teachers’ information and communication сompetency.
