Abstract
The collective monograph, prepared by the scientists of the Laboratory of General and Ethnic Psychology of Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the NAPS of Ukraine, studies the most common conflict situations that cause emergence of crisis phenomena in various aspects of person’s inner world; defines types of conflicts that arise as a result of the above situations; discusses negative signs of crises due to different types of conflicts. Dynamics of these conflicts is investigated. Subjective and objective factors of appearance of crisis periods during personality formation are determined and discussed. A conceptual framework of the study is presented in the monograph. Conflicts that arise during formation of different aspects of a personality are analyzed from the psychological point of view and classified. It is proved that crucial age crises are a source of personal development; they require changing of persons’ attitudes to themselves and their lives, rebuilding of the self-regulation system. The monograph shows how adequate vision of persons’ own life stimulates searches for constructive crisis overcoming and mobilizes internal resources for specific evolutionary changes in life. The book is addressed to psychologists-scientists and practicing psychologists, teachers, educators, post-graduate students, students of universities.
