Abstract
The article describes the levels of the main types of teaching staff’s tolerance (interpersonal, intergenerational, managerial, intercultural, interconfessional, gender, professional, ethnic, socio-economic, and political tolerance). The main types of teachers’ tolerance were found to be mostly highly developed, whereas socio-economic tolerance and political tolerance were characterized by the middle level of development. The author analyzed the associations between the index, components and types of organizational culture of educational institutions on the one hand and the main types of teachers’ tolerance on the other. It was discovered that such components of organizational culture as ‘work’, ‘communication’, ‘motivation and morality’ were more closely related to teaching staff’s tolerance than ‘management’. The positive correlations between the task culture and teachers’ intergenerational, managerial, professional, interconfessional, ethnic, gender, political, intercultural tolerance were found. The personality culture was shown to be positively associated with intergenerational and interconfessional tolerance, and tended to positively correlate with staff’s managerial, professional, gender, and ethnic tolerance. The power culture and the role culture were positively associated with the political tolerance and negatively correlated with the intercultural tolerance, and, in case of the power culture with the professional tolerance. It was concluded that task culture and personality culture had positive influence on different types of teaching staff’s tolerance.
