Abstract

The thesis is devoted to the study of psychological characteristics of civic competence of future specialists of socionomy professions such as a psychologist and a lawyer. It is found that the personality’s self-realization and civic competence as well are mostly associated with human abilities and skills to understand the basic areas of life activity such as legal, moral, economic, environmental. The author presents the theoretical model of civic competence of future specialists of socionomy professions which includes the basic competencies: social and cognitive, normative and regulatory, behavioral and activity. The criteria of forming civic competence of future psychologists and lawyers have been studied empirically. The comparative analysis of the results by sex differences has been done. Correlation ties and dependencies between competencies of civic competence have been determined, social and psychological problems and contradictions have been outlined.
