Abstract

In the article the problem of using the international scientometric databases in researches as web-oriented resources and services that are means of publication and dissemination the results of the scientific research activity is described. The criterias of selection of scientometric databases and their indexes are picked out in the researches. The analysis of the most popular scientometric databases of open access: Google Scholar, RINTS, Scholarometer, Index Copernicus (IC), Microsoft Academic Search is done. The advantages of using the open access scientometric database Google Scholar in the research are determined.
