Abstract

The article is an attempt to articulate some aspects of the multiple issues of mythological phenomena of the personality-oriented literary discourse. It is shown, that the actualization of myth in literary discourse is determined by its basic psychological functions, which allow creating and maintaining the integrity of the world’s picture, set up ideals and patterns of behavior, “interrupt” causal conditionality of life events, “remove” the problem of motivation and search for sense in a subjective space of personality’s life. It is proved, that myth becomes a basis for creation of a new semantic universe of personality due to its primary symbolization of expanding living space. The mechanisms of reproduction of mythological structures in literary narratives are described. The types of literature-oriented personal behavior and the psychological features of “cyclic-type” life-plots are analyzed. The specific spatio-topological attributions of mythological plots construction are highlighted.
