Abstract

The article analyzes the specific features of the personal reorganization of its own identity while living through difficult life circumstances. The most important is the ability to mobilize cognitive resources by the personality. The process of cognitive adaptation takes place primarily around the search for the meaning of problematic events. The important role in this process will be played by discursive practices, a variety of ways to structure personal experience. The article describes the algorithms and phases of changing of the narrative, different techniques for working with identity which a person uses to deal with difficult situations.
