Abstract
Theoretical and methodological problems of the process of an individual self-realization - conceptual and methodological framework for researches and methodic tools of activation - have been covered in the scientific and methodological manual prepared by the group of scientists of the Laboratory of Psychology of Personality named after P.R. Chamata of the Institute of Psychology named after G.S. Kostyuk of the NAPS of Ukraine. The authors of the manual have outlined the psychological essence of the process of an individual self-realization and self-actualization as one of its essential mechanisms; age-related and individual psychological characteristics; factors of self-realization and self-actualization, in particular, worldview orientations, moral-aesthetic and humanistic ideals, the role of family-related values and interpersonal relationships. The manual’s content has theoretical and practical orientation. It presents psycho-pedagogical conditions determined and proven by the authors and means of activation and development of needs in self-realization and self-actualization of an individual in the educational environment, as well as in the context of interaction of family and school. The manual has been addressed to teachers of educational institutions, academicians, psychologists, researchers, including those who are interested in problems of psychology of an individual self-realization and self-actualization.
