Abstract

The monograph highlights theoretical and methodological issues of the process of personality self-creation: the conceptual base of the research and methodological techniques for its activation. The monograph authors reveal a psychological nature of the process of personality self-creation and self-improvement as one of its main mechanisms; age and individual psychological characteristics of personality self-improvement; factors of self-creation processes and personality self-improvement, in particular, world-view orientations, moral, aesthetic and humanistic ideals, roles of a family and family values, ethnic and interpersonal relationships. The monograph is intended for researchers working in the field of the psychology of self-development and self-actualization, teaching staff of educational institutions, university lecturers, psychologists, students and post-graduate students.
