Abstract

The article is devoted to comparison of somatopsychological, psychosomatic and personality-oriented traditions of psychological assistance for oncological patients. The hypothesis was formulated concerning influence of social and cultural factors on methodology and national practice of such help. They include the ideology of society; peculiarities of education; family history; cultural guidelines on attitudes for elderly people, troubles, work; financial support from the state.
