Abstract

The article examines the theoretical basis of business planning. The question arises as to how changes in the social and economic environment affect enterprises, and business planning as well. Nowadays, Ukraine's economy is going through an extremely difficult time due to a full‐ scale war. The country faces an unprecedented GDP reduction, physical and economic destruction of enterprises, relocation of enterprises from occupied and liberated territories, capital outflow, and forced immigration of the population, including women‐entrepreneurs. Small and medium‐sized enterprises are the basis of any economy, as they meet the needs of consumers, create jobs, and fill state and local budgets with taxes. Therefore, the preparation of business plans for modern efficient companies will ensure an important impact on the recovery of the country's economy after the war. The article highlights the main tasks and components of a business plan. Its significance for the development of the enterprise and planning problems at the current stage are also analyzed. The article determines the trends of digitalization's impact on enterprises. The following trends are defined in the article: the continuing growth of the world population, the number of Internet users, the number of people who use smartphones, mobile Internet, registered and actively visit social networks; online shopping is constantly growing. Modern digital technologies allow entering both Ukrainian and also international markets, for example, through well‐known e‐commerce platforms. Now in many countries, it is already possible to buy many high‐ quality competitive Ukrainian goods. It is emphasized that entrepreneurs should systematically analyze changes and take into account in business planning the growing broad possibilities of the Internet for the realization of the company mission. It would be reasonable to include a section describing the website in the business plan. All these aspects need to be considered and included in sections of the business plan as market research, and marketing plan.
