Abstract

Based on the results of empirical research, the authors analyze the types of heads of educational organizations (emotionally ignorant, emotions controlling and emotionally sensitive) in the context of traditional and innovative management styles and the development of emotional intelligence. The authors elucidate the relationships between the psychological characteristics of organizations (the index of organization's creative potential, level of organizational development, teaching staff' cohesiveness, level of teaching staff's organizational dedication) and the types of educational organization heads. The authors analyze the relationship between the types of educational organization heads and the organizational and functional characteristics of the educational organizations: type, location, age, number of staff, number of students, status in the educational system of the city (region). In general, it was found that the effects of the educational organization's psychological characteristics on the development of the educational organization heads' innovative management styles were greater than the effects of the educational organization's organizational and functional characteristics
