Abstract

The article outlines the important problem of multiply approaches to study on social intelligence in pre-schoolers with mild intellectual disabilities and pre-schoolers with normative development. The system integral concept of study on social intelligence in pre-schoolers with mild intellectual difficulties covers several approaches: competency-based, person-oriented, systemic, narrative and technological. So that, the competence approach is aimed at examining and forming the key competencies of social intelligence: motivational, value, cognitive, emotional, behavioural. As it has been theoretically substantiated, the person-oriented approach is the basis for an individual’s development and self-development, supporting aspirations for independent development of one’s own unique style, behaviour and life. From the standpoint of the systemic approach, social intelligence is understood as a unity of its motivational-value, cognitive, emotional-subjective, moral-behavioural dimensions with the aim to examine and form social intelligence in pre-schoolers with mild intellectual disabilities. The narrative approach is applied for examinations using social narratives (stories) and for formation thanks to awareness of oneself and the Other in the context of these stories. The technological approach has been substantiated as an implemented holistic technology forming social intelligence in pre-schoolers with mild intellectual disabilities. It has been theoretically justified that the further scientific studies will be aimed at substantiating the theoretical prerequisites for study on social intelligence in pre-schoolers with mild intellectual disabilities.
