Abstract

Development of reading comprehension through the system of questions and tasks of the textbook "Foreign Literature" grade 5. The theses reveal the concept of "Reading with understanding" and present a system of questions and tasks aimed at its development in the 5th grade textbook "Foreign Literature" from emotional perception to the analysis of the author's text and the creation of one's own texts. It is concluded that such a system of tasks provides a productive dialogue with the work, gives students and students the opportunity to express their judgments about it, develops critical thinking skills, creative imagination, forming the important skill of reading with understanding, which ensures the educational effectiveness of students not only in literature lessons, but also in lessons of other subjects.
