Abstract

Theses reveal the peculiarities of studying John Boyne's novel "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" in the 7th grade. The thesis presents the system of lessons based on this work, highlights the features of the novel's subject matter and problems. The peculiarities of the emotional perception of children of this age on the topic of the Holocaust have been determined. Ways of working out the system of novel images in their relationship and the role of each image in revealing the theme of the novel are presented.
