Abstract

The theses emphasize the importance and necessity in foreign literature lessons of such types of work as comparing the original and translation, comparing different translations of literary of the work, which contribute to the awareness of the translated nature and foreign cultural origin of the work, to a deeper understanding of the theme, ideas and problems of the work, express the role of the translator and the creative nature of his work. Emphasis is placed on the need to highlight the personality of the translator, the correspondence of his translation to the original. Considered one of the possible options for conducting a lesson on the topic "The translator as an artist" based on the material of A. Conan Doyle's story "The Trout Ribbon" (grade 7).
