Abstract

It is stated in the summary that in the process of researching the topic "Theoretical and methodological principles of selection and application of methods of teaching Ukrainian language to students of gymnasium and lyceum" theoretical aspects and practical application of methods of teaching Ukrainian language were considered. The readiness of teachers to implement competence-oriented methods was also assessed. The key characteristics of the use of methodological tools for teaching the Ukrainian language, including traditional and innovative methods, have been determined. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the use of these methods among students of gymnasiums and lyceums.
