Abstract

Integrated learning of foreign languages is a method that provides teaching of educational subjects in foreign languages. As a result, the total amount of hours devoted to learning foreign languages does not increase, nor does the general increase in educational load and there is no withdrawal of lessons from other subjects of the curriculum. Although almost all EU countries have schools that use CLIL, only a small number of them have implemented it in all schools at some level (Austria and Liechtenstein - in the first grades of primary education, Cyprus - in one of the grades of primary school, Luxembourg and Malta - at the primary and secondary levels of education, Italy - in the last grade of high school).
