Abstract

The issue of updating the content of school literary education and preparing innovative programmatic and educational support for the literature course for grades 5-6 and grades 7-9 on the basis of an integrated approach has been updated. The concept of the programs of the integrated course of literature (Ukrainian and foreign) for grades 5-6 and grades 7-9 is presented. The content and structure of the textbooks of the integrated course have been revealed, contributing to the formation of reading and key competencies in students.
