Abstract

The authors substantiated that obtaining a full-fledged education is an important factor in the life of persons with special needs. The acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities by such persons remotely enables them to realize their abilities, partially or fully adapt to society. Therefore, the issue of remote education of persons with special needs, which is an alternative form of education both in the conditions of war and in the conditions of various crisis challenges, which enables such persons to realize themselves, to obtain secondary/higher education, becomes urgent. The barriers that arise for persons with special needs in the learning process, which include: personal-activity, technical, and technological-methodical barriers, are substantiated. A model of a distance learning system for people with special needs is proposed, and recommendations for improving such training at the organizational, personal, activity, and monitoring and evaluation stages are voiced. The purpose, content, specific methods, organizational forms, means of education are described. It is emphasized that the effectiveness of distance learning, on the one hand, is determined by the technological features of the educational process associated with the use of computer networks in the mode of e-mail and the Internet, and on the other hand, by modally specific and non-modally specific features of children with special needs. At the same time, it was emphasized that distance education of children with special needs is possible under the condition of individualization of education and active help of parents. The conclusion states that the introduction of distance learning opens new perspectives for people with special needs. Distance education should be holistic, synthetic, integrated, flexible, with wide application of new information technologies, provide systematic psychological and pedagogical support and corrective and developmental work based on new methodical and didactic technologies.
