Abstract

The theses present multilingual education as a modern educational direction, which aims to modernize Ukrainian education, correlate its tasks with the tasks of European education. The main principles of multilingual education are characterized, its goal is the formation of students' multilingual competence. The presented modern model of multilingual education, which was developed by leading employees of the Institute of Pedagogy and is presented in the "Concept of the model of multilingual education for general secondary education institutions with the teaching of languages of national minorities taking into account the tasks of European integration".
