Abstract

The new content of the school course of Ukrainian literature in 5-6 grades of the New Ukrainian School was revealed. The New Ukrainian School has presented innovative educational and methodological support for the school course of Ukrainian literature in the 5-6-th grade. In particular, the content and structure of the new textbook "Ukrainian Literature. 5th grade", Ukrainian Literature. 6th grade", calendar and thematic planning of lessons of Ukrainian literature in the 5- 6-th grade. Emphasis is placed on the issue of formative assessment of educational achievements of 5th grade students. The competence potential of the textbook "Ukrainian literature. 5th grade", "Ukrainian literature. 6th grade".
