Abstract

In the process of development of assistance to children with disabilities, the main axiomatic approaches were formed, which influence the formation of the medical-social and psychological-pedagogical model of assistance. Psychological and pedagogical assistance to children with special educational needs is provided in the field of special education. Its purpose is to ensure a full and dignified life of such persons, their preparation for active participation in society, inclusion in social relations, etc. The modern development of Ukraine puts new demands on the education system, in particular, on the education of persons with special needs. Currently, special education is being reformed taking into account progressive world trends. They are aimed at democratization, humanization, and socialization, which necessitates the introduction of innovative technologies.
