Abstract

In theses the issue of the formation of reading literacy in the process of teaching Ukrainian literature is updated. Different types of educational competence-oriented tasks for working with artistic texts, which are part of the methodological complex for teaching Ukrainian literature in the 5-6 grades of the National Academy of Sciences, are considered. It has been proven that the educational tasks of the complex contribute to the formation of end-to-end reading literacy skills of students already at the adaptation cycle of basic secondary education, which is an important stage in the preparation of literate students-readers of the new generation, the formation of reading culture and key competencies.
