Abstract

The article updates the problem of arranging the content of literary education at the adaptation cycle of the National University of Higher Education, aimed at the patriotic education of students, and the formation of their national consciousness. It has been proven that the combination of the works of classical writers and modern authors in literature programs and textbooks, the highlighting of topical problems of national history, and the use of a cultural approach to their interpretation contribute to the formation of national self-awareness of younger teenagers.
