Abstract

The thesis examines the methodology of literary education in the New Ukrainian School. The question of researching the scientific legacy of K. D. Ushinsky and using his ideas to effectively organize the educational process in current conditions has been updated. It has been proven that the thematic richness of the content of the model curriculum on Ukrainian literature and the genre diversity of the works presented in it contributes to the implementation of the tasks of the Ukrainian literature course in grades 5-6 and correspond to the principle of naturalness, shown in the scientific work of K. Ushinskyi as one of the main ones in the school training.
