Abstract

According to the Strategy of National-Patriotic Education, it is important to ensure the formation of national consciousness and patriotism among students in specialized secondary education institutions. The linguistic and literary field of knowledge provided by teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature is a source of national values. In the system of specialized secondary education, it is important to form a sense of national self-identity in high school students. Possessing research competence, the teacher of Ukrainian language and literature creates an innovative environment for assimilating knowledge, mastering the language, and for the development of the student's linguistic personality. A person who realizes himself as a part of society, has knowledge of his native language and culture, uses language as an effective means of communication, possesses research skills and critical thinking can successfully realize himself in the Ukrainian state.
