Abstract
In the conditions of war, the issue of stabilizing the psychological state of people, if possible, preventing fears and anxiety disorders of various etiologies, support from specialized specialists is especially timely. Dental care ranks second after therapeutic care in terms of the number of visits and first in terms of negative perception of the treatment process. Anxiety (anxiety, agitation, concern) associated with the thought of visiting the dentist for the purpose of prevention and/or before dental procedures is defined in professional publications as "dental anxiety" or "dental fear"). Fear, chronic psycho-emotional tension before dental intervention leads to avoidance of treatment and deterioration of the condition of the oral cavity (which to some extent intensifies fear). Currently, this problem is extremely relevant for Ukraine, in particular, the preservation of dental health in children and adolescents, ensuring equal access to quality services for people with special needs. An important condition for improving the situation is the establishment of trusting relations and effective communication between dentists and patients, improvement of training programs and advanced training of medical workers in this context.
