Abstract

The article presents a study of the main approaches to understanding socio-anthropological ideas in the Ukrainian philosophy of education in the work of Lesya Ukrainka. The process of formation of philosophical anthropological ideas in the work of the poetess, in which great attention was paid to spirituality as the basis of the humanistic ideal, is shown. It has been established that Lesya Ukrainka's work was and is outstanding material for illustrating the humanistic ideal, which is based on the flourishing of human individuality. It was determined that the aesthetic ideal, which is as closely related as possible to the humanistic one, makes it possible to understand the problem statement of the poetess: the understanding of the beautiful in a person, that which "does not die", but is transmitted from generation to generation; the important meaning of the word in the spiritual life of a person and in the process of his spiritual improvement. Lesya Ukrainka's educational ideas are highlighted; revealed how the activist criticized those who hindered the development of public education. It is highlighted that the "word" played a special role in the struggle for a better fate of the people and was an integral part of Lesya Ukrainka's humanistic ideal. It is emphasized that the poetess fought for the education of Ukrainian children in their native language, opposed the ban on better textbooks for students, and defended national teachers. It has been proven that Lesya Ukrainka's pedagogical, philosophical, socio-aesthetic views have made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian schooling, the theory and practice of teaching and educating young students. Thus, one of the main issues in the work of Lesya Ukrainka was the problem of the state, which she considered from the point of view of establishing in it the real rights and freedoms of citizens, democratic and legal principles of its construction. Lesya Ukrainka dreamed of a free state, where people would have all human and civil rights, where there should be no enslavement of one person by another, one class by another, one nation by another, which is a relevant topic of the current situation of Ukraine.
