Abstract

The experience of the sign language training department and experimental special institutions for people with hearing impairments in Ukraine was presented at the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical seminar on May 20, 2022 (as part of the Science Week festival), dedicated to studying the modern experience of distance learning of students with hearing impairments, finding out organizational and resource support in wartime conditions. The issue of using Ukrainian Sign Language (USL), sign-verbal bilingualism in educational, translation, correctional-developmental, psychological, educational components of the educational-rehabilitation process of special schools, educational-rehabilitation centers for people with hearing impairments was raised and highlighted.
