Abstract
The video presentation revealed the role of the textbook as a certain methodological basis, which reflects the priority of the competency-oriented educational system, its focus on the formation of key and subject competencies. An analysis of the methodological apparatus of the Ukrainian language textbook for the 5th grade of Romanian-language schools is presented, its possibilities in ensuring a competent approach to the language education of students representing national minorities are considered.
