Abstract

The theses highlight the possible ways of implementing an integrated curriculum in the practice of elementary teaching writing in Hebrew and Jewish traditional culture, implemented in the first workbook for teaching and improving calligraphic competence "Codes of Jewish culture for children: Jewish calligraphy". The proposed content is developed in accordance with the leading approaches of the paradigm of integrative and culturally diverse education - personality-oriented, activity-based and competence-based. Therefore, on the one hand, work with the material of this notebook is aimed at the formation of spelling and graphic writing skills at the initial stage of teaching the Hebrew language, and on the other hand, at the formation of multilingual and intercultural competences. The developed educational material will allow for both intrasubject (vertical) and interdisciplinary / interdisciplinary (horizontal) integration of educational content and will contribute to the formation of both key and subject competencies, in particular, calligraphic competence of students at the initial stage of learning Hebrew, expanding children's awareness in the field Jewish traditional culture, the development of both the national identity of students and the multilingualism and multiculturalism of the individual. The materials will be useful for teachers of Hebrew and Jewish tradition, scholars, methodologists, students, parents and younger students.
