Abstract
The theses define the conditions for the successful mastering of the syntax of the Ukrainian language by the students of grades 8-9, substantiating the relevance of creating a modern methodology for teaching syntax and punctuation of the Ukrainian language based on a combination of active, personally oriented and competent approaches. A system of complex exercises, modern methods, laid down in the basis of creation of an innovative technique is characterized.
