Abstract

The article examines and analyzes the signs of the linguistic personality of the student, which testify to the competence of her. The author defines and groups the key features of a competent linguistic personality that can serve as a guide for a teacher-linguist in practical activities and in the future be regarded as criteria for assessing academic achievements of a student in the Ukrainian language in a competency-based approach.
