Abstract
The article is devoted to an important methodological problem - working with texts on Ukrainian language lessons. The author substantiates the relevance of the text-centric approach, the feasibility of its systematic implementation, calls the advantages of such work and the prerequisites of efficiency, analyzes methodological literature. The article proposes a wider algorithm for working with texts taking into account the features of the modern educational process, tasks of school linguistic education. The author also offers examples of variations in text work, called forms of text representation.
