Abstract

The textbook presents three main categories of education in the European Union: formal, non-formal, informal; the basic parameters of the structure of compulsory education of European countries are singled out; trends that dominate the structure of European higher education are considered. The stages and contents of education, the types of education, the structure of educational systems of the European Union countries and its peculiarities are presented. The levels of education, the degree of education and the specifics of qualifications, types of higher educational establishments, academic levels and degrees are determined. The manual is intended for undergraduates and teachers of higher educational institutions, students of institutions of postgraduate pedagogical education, teachers, students, and everyone interested in the problems of the development of modern education.
