Abstract
In the article it was considered the educational system of specialists for tourism industry in Ukraine. It was discovered characteristics of tourist education from the point of view of the state system of education. On the basis of analysis of the world standards was found out the main demands to tourism education. It was defined pedagogical bases of professional tourist education and characteristics of professional training of travel agents. It was reported the position of travel agent in the system of continuing tourist education.
