Abstract

М. Demkov (1859—1939) is a prominent national teacher and scientist whose career, scientific, pedagogical and educational activities are revealed in the article. The author considers M. Demkov's rare works published in periodicals in the second half of the XIX century, researches in history of national and foreign pedagogics, works about life and activity of prominent teachers, textbooks and manuals in pedagogics.
