Abstract

The course of economic and social geography of the world facilitate the formation of knowledge about the geographical picture of the world that rely on the theory of interaction between society and nature, explain the processes of reproduction and distribution of the population, give a description of the world economy, geographical division of labour, and reveal global and regional events and processes. The first section covers basic trends and patterns of geographic shell, especially socio-economic, political and socio-cultural development of the world economy, geography, world resources and population, international geographical division of labour. The second section deals regions. Keeping the geographical component, the authors have created a conditional "territory" (as a geographical unit to describe a particular space) of practical and creative tasks, thematic assessment, test trials.
