Abstract
Current research of the phenomenon “citizenship”, its psychological structure, the flow of the process of its formation in connection with the development of personality is presented. Specifics of social development impact caused by different social actors on the development of seperate components of citizenship of students is empirically studied. It was found that among the factors that prevent youth from becoming active citizens are such factors: lack of willingness to take responsibility, lack of ability to Communicate and interact with others; lack of interest in public life, lack of ability to find and analyze relevant information and lack of credibility of information. It was discovered that the most significant impact on formation of different components of citizenship is caused by family, friends, "friends from social networks" and political events.
