Abstract

The article presents theoretical analysis results of the conceptual approaches to studying social capital and outlines its specificities as a subject of social and psychological research. It is determined that social capital as a system of individual and collective dispositions to create and develop social interaction may have both positive and negative consequences for the level of civic involvement in society.
