Abstract
The article deals with theoretical and applied aspects of the formation of environmental worldview of adolescents in children’s organizations. Environmental worldview is determined to be a form of consciousness, a measure of self-determination and culture of modern human, which is based on the awareness of the vital need to preserve the natural environment and natural resources. It combines ecological knowledge, ecological culture and ecological activities. Forming environmental philosophy is not just providing knowledge about the environment and society, but establishing a system of beliefs. The criteria and indicators of environmental worldview maturity are determined within an experiment conducted in the environmental children’s association «Ekolohichna Varta». The results of the experiment (the ascertaining stage) are presented in the article. Pedagogical conditions that ensure the formation of environmental worldview of adolescence in the children’s association have been developed: the content and technological provision of the formation of environmental awareness of adolescents; self-organization as a mechanism for creating a children’s association; training adults to work with children in the organization; support of children’s social initiatives.
